3C's For Success

Image
In today's world everybody is overloaded with strategies and tactics to solve their problems. The following three virtues are the most important for a person who seeks success in the corporate jungle : 1.  Competence  - Competence indicates the ability to perform, as the situation demands. One can rule through authority, one can earn respect only if one has competence. We not only have to qualify academically, but also through training, from experience and by reading. Decision making becomes easier if we possess the vital information and are aware of its implications through past experience and present knowledge of the subject. 2.  Credibility  - It is not easy to maintain credibility in our dealing on a day-to-day basis. Credibility is based on one's performance, behavior, attitude etc. It is,"To mean what we say and to do what we mean." Credibility is built over a period of time. It also encompasses virtues like fairness, a principle approach to

Looks...Important? Really!!!

Image
"Oh, Mom! Look these two pimples...eh! ugly! I won't go to school like this." Hey, I have a very important meeting today. thinking to visit a salon for clean up. "Dad, come on! Don't expect me to wear your outdated shirt and go out." Common statements, aren't they? Almost every other person we come across, says he or she does not like his or her appearance. Unlike Narcissus, who fell in love with his own reflection in a pool of water, some of us nearly fall into depression when we see our reflection! Many youngsters fret about their face, hair, figure or physique, forgetting about the fact, Everything has been made pretty in its time. Undoubtedly, looks do matter but only upto some extent. They can be the cause for initial attraction, initial interaction, and initial impression but if the looks are deceptive, people will soon get to know. Most of you must be concerned about your appearance, but when it comes to your friends,

The Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) approved the state government's application to increase the height of the statue from 192m to 210m, surpassing the 208m spring temple Buddha statue in China - the tallest in the world. MCZMA officials said the environmental clearance was issued simce other approvals were in place. "Our major concern was if the state had received height clearance from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), which they had. After they submitted all permissions and presented a comparison of different statues in the world, we were told that the tip of Shivaji Maharaja's sword will be at 210m," said Satish Gavai, chairman of MCZMA and additional chief secretary, state environment department. Mahatma Gandhi : The Forgotten Hero

Image
Many great persons have influenced the world and changed the flow of time with their great thoughts and personality. It is not possible for anyone to portray the life and achievements of a man like –  “Mahatma Gandhi” To try to do it is to try to hold the world in the palm. He was a prince of truth and the emissary of peace. He was not just a man or a superman but a rare phenomenon that the world may witness once in a millennium. There were people who called him a magician that hypnotized the people, a mystic who tried to impress the image of God upon the faces of brides, a soldier who fought with the weapons of a saint. He was certainly one of the History’s amazing paradoxes. Although a Hindu, he believed in a religion which is the essence of all the religious beliefs that is  “Humanity” . He converted his personal anger into national anger and finally with this, the marvel of all weapons, he drove the English out of India. Politics was in his blood, although in his life he

Narendra Modi : The "Modi-Fied" India

Image
India, for than a couple of decades has been fervently waiting for a strong and sincere leadership and on the fortunate day of 16 April, 2014, India got another incarnation of  Mahatma Gandhi , an embodiment of discreet ‘Bhartiya’ values,  Mr. Narendra Damodar Modi . But what is known is his passionate approach and his idealist policies that will surely bring a contemporary and an emerging India out of the dark scenario. It is also significant to highlight that the world is enchanting,  ‘Namo-Namo’  not just because he is visiting the foreign nations, yes, because he is capable of standing on his words. He has initiated  “Jana Dhana Yojana”  which has successfully been pursed with near about more than 32 Crores A/Cs being opened which has mobilized and channelized the amount of investment which was earlier merely locked in the piggy banks of rural houses. It does not show that others were a bit less but it clearly shows that Modi is, a bit more. Yes, reiterating that Modi and
